Teen girls arrested for Scott H. S. fight

Posted: Updated:

Toledo police used mace to break up a fight that broke out at a Scott High School basketball game Friday night.

13abc's Steve Slivka was in the Scott High School gym when the fight broke out in the stands between two girls. He tells us police rushed in to break it up. Officers used mace to stop the fighting.

Two teenage girls were arrested outside the gym, then later released to their parents.  A Toledo Public Schools spokesperson said one of the teens is a student at Scott High School. There is no information on whether the other teen is a TPS student.

Officials called the Rogers vs. Scott  high game early because of the altercation.  At the time the game was called, Rogers basketball team was ahead.

Toledo resident Bruce Smith says he's not surprised. "I think that females are worse than guys, because females want to be represented as one of the guys. They talk more crap than guys. Trust me, they are worse than the guys."

School officials say they will know more on Monday, but say disciplinary action will be taken against those involved in the fight.
