Pope Benedict XVI is resigning at the end of the month.
CNN and the Associated Press are reporting that the Vatican has announced Pope Benedict will step down on February 28.
The Pope told Cardinals of the Catholic Church that he is stepping down because of advanced age. Benedict is 85 and will turn 86 on April 16. He was elected Pope in 2005.
Many people of Latin heritage around the world are taking pride in the new pontiff, who hails from Argentina. 13abc's Tony Geftos spoke with people in the local Hispanic community in Toledo to get their reactions.
