Due to forecasted frigid temperatures and the chance of snow on both Friday and Saturday, Lourdes University's season-opening weekend series at the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Ky. has been cancelled.
Temperatures are expected to only reach the 30s for highs both days with a chance of snow showers both days, preventing the four-game series between the Gray Wolves and Bears from taking place. The games will not be made up.
Lourdes is now scheduled to open the 2013 season at Asbury on Feb. 22 and 23 with a pair of doubleheaders. First pitch in Friday's twinbill is slated for 1 p.m. in Wilmore, Ky.
