Oregon woman leads troopers on a multi-county chase

Posted: Updated:

A Oregon woman is facing charges after leading troopers on a chase down I-75.

It started around 12:30 Wednesday morning. A State Trooper was driving down I-75 southbound near North Baltimore when he noticed someone speed past his patrol car and start driving all over the road.

Moments later the trooper started following the suspect, Meganne McGill, 22 of Oregon. State troopers say McGill kept driving down IO-75, refusing to pull over. McGill then got off at State Route 12 and kept driving for another five miles, nearly hitting multiple cars and semi trucks.

Troopers were finally able to stop McGill by boxing her car in and she was arrested. No one was hurt during the chase.

Investigators say McGill was allegedly drinking and had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.

McGill is now locked up in the Wood County Jail and is facing multiple charges.
