US-23 SB was shut down at the I-475 split due to a massive multi-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon. The road was reopened around 3 p.m.
Multiple departments responded to a series of crashes on US 23 Northbound.
There were 11 vehicles involved in the accident near exit 5, US 223 towards Blissfield.
Injuries were reported. Police say this crash was weather related. Our affiliate WXYZ is reporting there was another major pile-up at the Plank Road exit on US 23 near Milan.
