CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old woman has died after she was ejected from a car driven by a man who was fleeing police in northeast Ohio.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said Stephanie Casto was a passenger in a car driven by 27-year-old Christopher Dinger. They say Dinger fled a traffic stop in Canton early Saturday, and Casto was thrown from the car when it went out of control and drove off a road.
Casto, a mother of 3, died Monday at a hospital from an apparent head injury.
Dinger fled the car after the crash was caught a short time later. He is being held on multiple charges. He has a lengthy criminal record and was wanted to failing to show for court-ordered community service.
