OCC, TARTA holding job fairs Wednesday

Owens Community College is hosting a job fair Wednesday, February 20. About 20 area employers will be on hand showcasing careers within the green industry. 

Job seekers should be prepared to fill out applications and interview at the fair.

The event runs from 3:00 to 4:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Owens campus in Perrysburg Township.

TARTA is also hosting a job fair Wednesday to fill four open positions. The positions include: driver, facility maintenance, transportation supervisor, and utility mechanic.

In order to apply, you must be at least 21 years old, have five years of driving experience, and have a high school diploma or GED

The TARTA job fair runs from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the TARPS paratransit facility on Knapp Street.

    One woman is in the hospital after an early morning fire. The fire started at a duplex on Vance street. Investigators say the home might need to be demolished. When crews arrived on the scene flames were shooting from the roof. The cause is still under investigation.
