Firefighter injured in house fire Sunday Morning

Toledo, OHIO (WTVG) -- Investigators are looking into a fire that injured a firefighter Sunday morning.

The fire happened on the corner of East Park and Chestnut Street.

The fire started in the rear of the home.

Firefighters say the house was occupied but no one was home at the time.

But they did rescue a dog from the basement.

The firefighter did suffer minor injuries.

Investigators say the home suffered extensive damage.

The cause remains under investigation.
