Hope you're hungry, Toledo. Restaurant week is here!

Twenty-Seven Area restaurants are taking part in the ten day event, and each restaurant has lunch and dinner options at $10, $20, and $30.

Bar 145 on Monroe Street is offering a slow-cooked short rib dinner that will fill you up for $20.

On the special dinner menu, people can choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for $20. The lunch menu is $10 and people can choose a small appetizer and entree.

Bar 145 opened three years ago with the idea of bringing upscale food and a trendy atmosphere to Toledo. The 145 comes from the temperature that the Chef Robby Lucas finds the perfect doneness for meat.

Bar 145 is one of over 25 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week Toledo. A portion of the proceeds from the 10-day event will benefit Youth Leadership Toledo. The special menu at restaurants will last until March 2.

There will be a new police chief in Bryan starting Mid-September. And that chief will have one major case hanging over his department as it has been over the last 5 years. Bryan police chief Jeff Arnold submitted his resignation Friday and the city council voted to accept it in a special meeting Monday. He will leave his post September 14th.
