DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today announced that forward Jan Mursak has cleared waivers and has been assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Mursak, 25, was a sixth round selection of the Red Wings in the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The Maribor, Slovenia, native missed 14 games this season after suffering a shoulder injury in Detroit's season opening loss at St. Louis. He appeared in just two games for the Red Wings in 2012-13, posting no points and four penalty minutes. In 46 career NHL games with Detroit, Mursak collected two goals, two assists and eight penalty minutes.
