Crews deemed search for sinkhole body too risky

Posted: Updated:

FLORIDA - Crews are using heavy equipment to tear down a Florida house that killed a man while sleeping.

Jeff Bush, 37, was swallowed by a sinkhole when it opened up Thursday night in his bedroom.

Family members tried to dig him out but could not reach him.

Bush is presumed dead.

Firefighters deemed the search for his body too risky.

That hole continues to grow deeper and is now threatening a neighboring house.

Those in Florida say sinkholes can happen because of pockets of limestone underground.
