Lake Twp. Officer suspended for getting drunk at wedding

A Lake Township Police Sergeant has been suspended for five days after getting drunk at a wedding last month.

The Toledo Blade reports Sgt. Scott Sims was off-duty at the time, but got so drunk he had to be treated by firefighters.

Sims will serve three days of the suspension, but the other two days will be waived if there is no further disciplinary action during the next year.

The two firefighters who treated Sgt. Sims resigned after the incident.
