Police in Clyde are warning you about a possible phone scam.
The call is about lowering your electric bill, and investigators say it could be a legitimate business, but it will not work for Clyde Light and Power customers.
On the city website, Clyde police posted this message:
"Please be warned of a possible scam if you are a Clyde Light and Power customer. We have received several reports of customers getting calls about lower power rates from AEP-Choice program. The city of Clyde negotiates rates for their customers and there is no program that you, the customer, can join to save money on your city electric bill. If you receive this call simply hang up. Do not give any personal information to the caller."
