WHITEHALL, Mich. (AP) - Classes are canceled for the day in one West Michigan school district after air was let out of tires on a fleet of 19 school buses.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/12wyEW9 ) schools in the Whitehall School District are closed Thursday after a maintenance official discovered the flat tires.
Front and rear tires were flattened. The school district says 1,400 to 1,500 of its 2,100 students rely on bus transportation.
Police are investigating and plan to review surveillance footage from the area.
