Semi accident snarls traffic on WB I-475 at I-75 split

Posted: Updated:

Traffic is slowed to a crawl on the expressway Friday evening. Toledo Police tell us a large piece of steel fell off a semi truck on I-475 westbound near the I-75 split.

Traffic is at a standstill in the area as crews wait for a crane to move the steel.

Ohio Department of Transportation says to expect temporary closures and lane restrictions on the ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 and on the ramp from southbound I-75 to westbound 475 in Toledo. Those could last several hours.
