A Toledo woman is sentenced to 59 years in prison for killing and setting a Sylvania Township man on fire. There were lots of twists and turns before the judge could sentence Melody Williams.
Williams made numerous allegations. She claimed juror number one, Toledo City Councilman Shaun Enright, failed to give the court information about his job and past criminal history. The judge found the allegations against Enright false. Judge Ruth Ann Franks denied Williams motion for a new trial.

Convicted killer Melody Williams will never walk the streets of Toledo again.
Today Judge Ruth Ann Franks sentenced her to 59 years in prison for shooting, robbing, and setting LC Lyons body on fire. The victim's sister spoke for the family.
"From the moment our mother received the call that there was a fire alarm going off at the home of LC our lives have never been the same. During this twenty month waiting period we have cried prayed and we have endured many sleepless nights," said the victim's sister Vanessa Randolph
Sleepless nights at the hands of what the judge called a cold blooded killer. Sylvania Township detectives say Williams was desperate for cash. So she manipulated, enticed and killed the man she was sleeping with.
"To our acknowledged she never expressed any concern or sympathy for LC's death. She even continued to carry a gun after killing him. This behavior is consistent with the lack of remorse or concern for life that melody Williams has demonstrated throughout these court proceedings, " said the victim's sister Randolph.
