Police are sounding the warning about some highly dangerous drugs on the streets of Northwest Ohio. Today hundreds of law enforcement officers gathered to learn more about the drug trends
They learned about the new hip highs that are landing kids in drug treatment centers, jail, and funeral homes.
"Don't get tied up with the name K-2 spice or spike you got about 100 different names for the same product."
These law enforcement officers, nurses, teachers, and criminal justice professionals are learning about drugs. Drugs that can be stashed in everyday things like water bottles, outlet bridges, and even high lighters.

They're learning drugs terms like "Doing da lean and "riding the elevator." Authorities say your child has probably heard the slang.
Sheriff Steven towns says they're a small county, but Williams County has the same problems as other areas.
"I think the bath salts and prescription drugs are most problems because they seem to be easily accessible," said Williams County Sheriff Steven Towns.
They say they most popular drug on the street is marijuana, but heroin, prescription pills and synthetic drugs are killing drug users before they know it.Â@
"Law enforcement needs to know what K-2 looks like where its being sold how the kids will be behave when they consume it. Parents need to know the same thing so that they can identify the use in their children," said Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio Executive Director Jim Dennis.
Parents should recognize the signs of drug abuse.
"They start acting out of character. They need to got through their room they need to feel comfortable in going through the bedroom they own the houses its their responsibility and they need to hold their children accountable for what's inside the house," said Dennis.
Sheriff Towns says education is the key to fighting the drug problems.
"Youth safety obviously but its not different when they get behind the wheel whether its alcohol or some other type of drug," said Sheriff Towns.
Authorities say it's important to listen to the type of music your kids like. It can give you a little information on what's happening in their lives and hip you to the new street slang this generation uses to talk about drugs.
