Winter weather holds on as spring nears

Posted: Updated:

Old man winter is still in control of the weather patterns. Temperatures have been below normal for the month of March so far. That same weather pattern isn't giving up its ground as the first day of spring nears closer. The high temperature on the first day of spring, next Wednesday, is forecasted to be in the upper 20s to low 30s. During the same time period last year temperatures were 30 to 50 degrees warmer with highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s.
