Darah Wins Siena Heights Invitational; Gray Wolves Finish Second

Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) earned her third event victory of the school year on Friday afternoon, helping to lead Lourdes to a second place finish in the team title at the Siena Heights Spring Invitational held at Hantz Golf Club in Tecumseh, Mich.

Darah fired a round of 90 over the 6,223-yard, par-72 layout on a cold, breezy April afternoon.  She finished one shot ahead of Sydney Gossett and Andrea Rumler of Siena Heights as well as Maria Brooks of Cleary.

Lindsay Lehman (Sylvania, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) fired a 97 for the Gray Wolves while Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) added a 98.  Kallie Breyfogle (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) carded a 100 to round out the team's scorers while Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) posted a 108.

As a team the Gray Wolves shot 385, five strokes behind champion and tournament host Siena Heights.  The Gray Wolves finished 17 shots ahead of Grove City in the six team field.

Lourdes will return to the links on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the Cleary Triangular.  Play will begin at 11 a.m. at Chemung Golf Club in Howell, Mich.
