Cabela's Dundee will remain closed through the weekend

Posted: Updated:

According to a news release from Cabela's  the Dundee, Mich., store which has been closed  due to a small electrical fire since early Wednesday morning will remain closed through the weekend, and until further notice, as employees and outside contractors complete a thorough cleanup and restocking process.

The news release says all merchandise damaged by the fire and soot will be removed from the store and replaced with new inventory.

The company says the building did not suffer structural damage, however soot from the smoke and the compound from fire extinguishers sprayed on the blaze left residue on some merchandise, taxidermy and store fixtures.

Cabela's says it will honor sale prices for its upcoming Warm Up To Savings and Let's Go Camping Dundee retail promotions through Sunday, May. 12.

Dundee customers are asked to call the store at (734) 529-4700 prior to their next visit to ensure the store has reopened.
