Bret Michaels and others to headline 2013 Northwest Ohio Rib-Off

Rocker Bret Michaels will headline the Yark Automotive 30th Annual Northwest Ohio Rib-Off presented by The Blade.

The concert will take place August 9 at the Lucas County Fairgrounds in Maumee.

Country music rapper Colt Ford will perform August 8, and rock group Kansas will perform August 10.

Tickets for The Rib-Off go on sale Friday, May 17, and seating for all three concerts is limited.

General Admission tickets for Thursday are $5 in advance and $7 at the gate; on Friday and Saturday general admission tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the gate.

VIP seating tickets for Colt Ford are $15 in advance and $19 at the gate. VIP Seating Tickets for Bret Michaels are $30 in advance and $35 at the gate, and for Kansas, VIP Seating Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.

Both advance general admission and VIP tickets may be purchased at any TIREMAN or Andersons location, as well as the Stranahan Theater Box Office in person or via phone at 419-381-8851.

    Toledo police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted kidnapping at an East Toledo hotel Monday. Investigators charged Jaequan Smith with kidnapping and burglary. He was arrested early Tuesday morning. He’s charged with trying to kidnap a 4 and a half month old baby from his mom’s hotel room. It happened around 6:00am Monday at the Days Inn on Miami Street. The mom told police she was walking her boyfriend out of the hotel and left the infant in the room.
