Coming off of back-to-back NAIA Division II national tournament appearances, Lourdes University head men's basketball coach Andre Smith has announced the Gray Wolves' 2013-2014 schedule, which includes 12 home contests, 11 of which will be played at Tam-o-Shanter.

"Once again we have a challenging non-conference schedule to get us prepared for the rigors of WHAC play," Smith stated. "Every year the WHAC is one of the nation's top conferences and thus our schedule this year will test us every night."

Lourdes will open the season on Oct. 29 traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. to battle Kuyper. Lourdes will then head to Goshen, Ind. Nov. 1-2 for the Maple City Hoopfest. The Gray Wolves will battle the host Maple Leafs of Goshen on the opening day before facing Bethel (Ind.) on day two.

The four-game season-opening road trip will conclude at Point Park on Nov. 5 before the Gray Wolves return to Tam-o-Shanter for both the home opener as well as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener on Nov. 16 hosting Lawrence Tech for the first of 22 league contests.

The Gray Wolves will host Point Park at Adrian College on Dec. 11 in their only "home" non-conference tilt and will also play three non-league games Dec. 21-23 at the Saint Xavier Midwest Tournament in Chicago, Ill., an event Lourdes will participate in for the third straight year.

The 30-game regular season schedule will conclude with back-to-back home contests at Tam-o-Shanter Feb. 19 and 22 as the Gray Wolves host Siena Heights and Aquinas.

The top eight teams in the WHAC standings will advance to the WHAC tournament which begins with quarterfinal games on campus sites Feb. 26. The semifinals are slated for March 1 with the title game set for March 3.
