Updates on Roads in Wood, Sandusky Counties

ODOT District Two Storm Update 8:00pm

BOWLING GREEN (Wednesday, July 10, 2013) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following routes have been impacted by recent storms.

Wood County:  

Interstate 75
I-75 in both directions is now open.

SR 25 - near Jerry City Road is open

Sandusky County:

US Route 20

US 20 is closed between SR 590 and US 6 (West side of Fremont) due to downed power lines.

US 20 in Bellevue is closed due to numerous downed power lines and limbs.   

SR 105 south of Woodville is open

US 6 between US 23 and SR 53 is open

SR 19 & County Road 213 is open.

SR 53 near the Ohio Turnpike is open

 

ODOT MEDIA RELEASE:

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following routes have been impacted by recent storms, expect restrictions and delays in these areas. 

Wood County:  

Interstate 75
Expect lane restrictions on southbound I-75 near US 6 due to overturned semis.
Expect lane restrictions  on northbound I-75 near SR 281 due to overturned semis.

SR 25 - Closed near Jerry City Road due to downed power lines. 

Sandusky County:

SR 105 - Closed south of Woodville due to down tree.

US 6 - Closed  between US 23 and SR 53 due to downed power lines. 

SR 19 & County Road 213 - Closed due to downed tree and flooding.

SR 53 - Closed near the Ohio Turnpike due to debris on the highway.

    Nazia H. Awadawas struck and killed this morning near the Franklin Avenue and Delaware Avenue intersection in Toledo. Police say, around 5:00 this morning, Awada stepped out onto Franklin Avenue and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Awada was transported to St. Vincent's ER where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say it doesn't appear that alcohol or speed were factors. The investigation is still on-going.
