Steven King indicted in missing toddler case

Posted: Updated:

Steven King, the ex-boyfriend of missing Toledo toddler Elaina Steindfurth's mother has been indicted on one count of obstructing justice.  The Lucas County Grand Jury issued the charged this afternoon.

King is accused of lying to investigators about information related to the girl's disappearance.

Today marks two months since missing 18 month-old Elaina disappeared from an East Toledo home.  She was last seen back on June 2nd at a home on Federal Street.

Both King and Angela Steinfurth, Elaina's mother, are both locked up in the Lucas County Jail on obstructing justice charges. They are both accused of giving false statements about the girl's disappearance.

Police say they are still actively looking for information that would give them answers about the baby's disappearance.

Meantime, Steinfurth is due back in court August 15th for a pre-trial hearing.
