Hundreds of handball players will be competing at the Lucas County Recreation Center in Maumee, Ohio, in the 63rd United States Handball Association's National Three-Wall Championships. This will mark the 39th consecutive year that Maumee has hosted this great event over the Labor Day Weekend, August 29 – September 2, 2013.
This tournament features the best handball players from across North America, including the defending two-time champion and No. 3 ranked player in the world, Sean Lenning (Seattle). In the women's division, Megan Mehilos (Illinois) is going for her 8th open singles title. All the action takes place at the Lucas County Rec. Center, the best three-wall handball facility in the country.
There are male and female players who compete at all age and skill levels from 13 to 75 years of age, but the focus will be on those entering the Men's and Women's Open Divisions. The men's open final will be played Monday, Sept. 2 at 9:30 am. The winner will take home a National Championship and the top cash prize! Buckeye Cable Sports Network will be on hand to televise the open matches on Saturday and Sunday!
There will also be an open-level, one-wall handball tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the best one-wall handball players in the world will travel from New York to play in this second annual prize-money event!
