3rd suspect in BG kidnapping and robbery surrenders

Posted: Updated:

A suspect wanted in connection with the kidnapping and robbery of a UT Chinese exchange student surrendered in Bowling Green today.

The Bowling Green police say 21-year-old Blake Long turned himself into the Bowling Green Municipal Court this afternoon.  The fourth and final suspect Nicholas Martinez remains at large.

Long is the brother of Brittany Long, who was the first suspect arrested in connection with the August 18 kidnapping and robbery.  Police say the two were in cahoots with a third suspect, 23-year-old Hui Zang.   Police say Zang convinced the victim to go with her to Cedar Point.  In fact, police say Zang had tried to lure several different UT students through the Chinese language site Q Q, pretending to be a UT student to gain the trust of the potential victims.   BG police say Zang was in the car when they picked up the victim and was there during the entire incident.

Both Zang and Brittany Long have appeared in court and charges against them are pending.

Meantime, police say the fourth suspect, Nicholas Martinez is described as a black male, 5'11, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  BG police warn against approaching him saying that he may be armed and dangerous.
