The candles burned bright at the Columbian High School gym Friday night.  All of them were lit in honor of Sunshine Huey, Trinity Huey, Stormie Huey, Tiara Angel, and Dominic and Timothy Fresch who all died in a Tiffin home fire on September 15.

A neighbor called 911 that morning when she spotted flames coming from their home at the Highland Estates Mobile Home Park. Tiffin firefighters were able to pull the six of them out, but they were later pronounced dead at the hospital.  Investigators could not determine the cause of the fire, although the smoke detectors were all working.  The did find evidence of both smoking and burning candles but say there was no evidence of criminal activity.

Evidence also shows 25-year-old Timothy Fresch was a hero until the end.  Investigators say it looks like he placed a child under clothing, and then put himself between the kid and the flames to protect the child from the fire.

All six were laid to rest this week, but the healing process is only beginning.

The Burger King at 683 W. Market Street, where the children's mother works is collecting donations.  You can also visit any U.S. Bank, and make a contribution to the 'Anna Angel Donation Fund'.
