Lourdes University's Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) shared the top spot on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves competed in the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree of the season held at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian, Mich.
Darah fired a round of 80 over the 6,020-yard, par-71 layout, matching the round turned in by Indiana Tech's Wiebke Schlender. The duo was two shots ahead of the rest of the field on the afternoon.
As a team Lourdes finished in fifth place with a total of 357, just one stroke behind fourth place Aquinas and three shots in back of event host Siena Heights. Indiana Tech won the event with a score of 340, two shots ahead of Madonna. Lourdes finished two strokes ahead of sixth place Davenport.
Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) finished second for the Gray Wolves on the afternoon and tied for 21st place overall with a round of 91. Kallie Breyfogle (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) and Lindsey Lehman (Sylvania, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) each carded 93s to complete the scoring for Lourdes.
Roberta Craider (Brecksville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan H.S.) added a round of 97 while Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) added a 98 for the Gray Wolves.
Lourdes will return to action on Friday afternoon competing in the Cleary Invitational. Play will begin at 9 a.m. at Chemung Golf Club in Howell, Mich.
