Maumee Bay River Festival celebrates water

Posted: Updated:

Beer was just one of the attractions at the second annual Maumee Bay River Festival at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company.

Sandy Bihn, executive director of Lake Erie Waterkeeper said, "This is a festival for the Maumee River to celebrate water, specifically the Maumee River and Maumee Bay. The Maumee River is one of the fishiest rivers in the world, 139 miles long. Toledo doesn't always think highly of this river. So we're trying to promote the river today."

The festival also featured tours of the future Middlegrounds Metropark.
