Junior Kevin Arriola got things started for DC at the 29 minute mark. Arriola made a move around the defense and let one go from 18 that found the back of the net. The goal marked Arriola's fourth of the season.
Not to be out done, BW came right back just a short three minutes later when Patrick O'Malley found goal to tie it up at one apiece.
The teams would keep up the fast pace as Arriola once again put in a goal, marking his second of the match. Jordan Drake got the assist as he found Arriola in the box, Arriola shot toward goal in a collision with the goalie but snuck the ball into goal.
That would be the final goal as DC slowed down the pace the second half to protect their 2-1 lead. BW outshot Defiance 18 to 11 with 5 to 4 of them on goal respectively.
