The University of Findlay women's golf team placed third at the Gilda's Club Laker Invitational, which wrapped up action on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.
The Oilers shot a two-round score of 632 (327, 305) and were led by Michele Schambs and Shelby Warner, who each tied for seventh place.
Both players shot an 80 in the opening round and a 77 in the final round to equal their score of 157.
Brooke Albers (82, 77 – 159) and Kasey Petty (85, 74 – 159) tied for 11th place at the event while Hannah Schneider (91, 80 – 171), Taylor Tweed (90, 81 – 171) and Emily Mock (97, 87 – 184) also competed for Findlay at the event.
The Oilers will get back out on the golf course again on Oct. 6-7 at the Ashland Invitational.
