Posted: Updated:

A suspect led police on a high speed chase from Toledo to Jerusalem Township Thursday.

Toledo Police tried to pull over 35-year-old William Cook Jr., but he took off, leading police on a chase through Oregon before crashing at Cedar Point Road and Decant. We're told he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree.

Cook and his female passenger were hurt.

Cook is charged with felony fleeing and drug trafficking. He's also charged with kidnapping, because he didn't let the passenger out of the vehicle.

He could face additional charges in Toledo.

Cook is currently behind bars at the Lucas County jail.
