Flood waters rise in Northwest Ohio

Posted: Updated:

Snow melt and rain have led to high water around Northwest Ohio.

As of Sunday afternoon the Blanchard River in Findlay was at major flood stage at 13.93 feet and expected to crest Monday morning around 1 a.m. at 15.7 feet.  That's the eighth highest crest in history for the Blanchard. It should recede closer to normal levels by Tuesday afternoon.

Eagle Creek above Findlay is still at a major flood stage as well.

The Tiffin River at Stryker, the Blanchard River at Ottawa, the Portage River at Woodville and the Sandusky River in Tiffin are all above flood stage as well.
