TOLEDO, Ohio -

Toledo Police say 30-year-old Anthony L. Sisson was fatally shot Wednesday while walking along the 800-block of Ross St. in Central Toledo. Detectives say Sisson was shot multiple times and the gunman is still on the loose.

Neighbors say they heard shots just before 4:00 P.M. and called police when they found a man lying in the street. When officers arrived on scene, they found Anthony Sisson lying on the road, he died shortly after arriving at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Toledo Police called in their K-9 unit and officers combed the Central Toledo Neighborhood near Hawley and Belmont for clues. We're told they recovered three shell casings.

"We do need some assistance from the general public on this, we have some leads that we're working on but we do not have a lot of evidence." says Tim Noble, Detective Bureau, Toledo Police.

The victim's girlfriend spoke with 13abc.

"His last words to me were that he loved me and missed me, and Merry Christmas.", says Kimberly Robinson "I want the shooter, whoever he is to come forward. You killed this man on Christmas, now I'm never going to see him again." says Robinson
