Posted: Updated:

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - Three people are suspected of stealing wrapped Christmas presents, and police say they could be responsible for other burglaries in the Dayton area.

Huber Heights police say that on Christmas Eve a citizen helped officers catch up with a man and two females who were seen ripping open Christmas presents that were in the trunk of a car.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1g3gnDk ) reports that trio is suspected of a burglary in Sidney and as many as three others in Miami County, north of Dayton.

A 29-year-old man was arrested by Huber Heights police, and the females were taken into custody in Miami County because they are suspected of burglaries there.

Police were able to return stolen presents to one of the families.
