The Adrian College men's basketball team entered into the "M" Club Classic hosted by Mount Union and took on the Raiders Saturday night. The Bulldogs looked to secure their fourth win of the season and start their weekend off with a solid victory. The Bulldogs fell behind early to the Raiders and could not overcome a first half deficit only to fall for the game, 68-49 and dropped to 3-7 on the season.
The first half saw the Bulldogs battle to an even score through the first 7:13 as the score remained at 10-10 with 12:47 left. The Raiders immediately followed this stalemate with a 5-0 run, and later capped a 6-0 run at the 1:06 mark to take a 32-21 lead to the break.
The second half saw Mount Union start quickly with another 5-0 run to stretch the lead to 37-21 with 18:08 left to play. The run solidified the Raiders' lead as Adrian did not manage to climb within single digits of Mount Union. The Raiders won the second half 36-28 and the game 68-49.
Rickey Jackson led Adrian with 21 points. Earl Swift came off of the bench to tally eight points and two steals. Ben Rodak contributed with five points and five rebounds.
