Toledo tops 30 inches of snow in Jan., beats 1978

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - This month is now the snowiest on record in Toledo.

The National Weather Service says 30.9 inches of snow have fallen in Toledo so far in January.

The snowfall amount tops the old mark set in January of 1978. That was the same month of the famed Blizzard of '78.

More than 50 people died in the blizzard that shut down much of the state at the end of January 36 years ago.

    Witnesses tell 13abc a fight broke out inside the Chez Joey gentleman's club around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. We're told tables and chairs were thrown, leading up to gunfire. Marcus Osley, 28, was shot during the altercation and later died from his injuries. Police have arrested Keevon Johson, 34, and charged him with murder in the killing.
