The Rockets continued their weekend action Sunday, Jan. 26, falling 4-0 to No. 5 Ohio State in Columbus.

"This was the total opposite of yesterday's match," head coach Al Wermer said. "These guys are getting tougher and playing together. This shows how competitive we'll be as the year goes on."

Toledo saw junior Mark Singnil (Samutsakorn, Thailand) put up a tough fight against the No. 31 player in the nation, Peter Kobelt. Kobelt led 6-2, 5-4 in the No. 1 singles slot when the match was called short.

Also in an unfinished match, junior Roberto Meza (Antofagasta, Chile) won the first set against OSU's Marko Goles-Babic in No. 5 singles, and trailed 4-1 in the third unfinished set.

In doubles play, Singnil and junior Nicky Wong (Mansfield, OH) trailed 4-3 in their unfinished No. 1 doubles match to OSU's Hunter Callahan and Goles-Babic.

The Rockets travel to Louisville, KY for a weekday doubleheader on Thursday, Jan. 30 against Tennessee Tech and Louisville. UT returns home on Saturday, Feb. 1 for another doubleheader when they host Youngstown State and Ferris State.
