Man trades a paper clip for a house and talks about it in Toledo

Posted: Updated:

Imagine trading a paper clip for a house! It's a true story and the man behind it spoke to hundreds of people in Maumee Thursday night. Inspire Toledo is a fundraiser for The Junior League of Toledo. The event was held at Parkway Place last night and more than 200 people were in attendance. The local chapter of the Junior League has been involved with dozens of charitable community projects for the last 80 years.

Kyle MacDonald was the guest speaker at this year's Inspire Toledo. His story has been featured on television shows around the world including ABC's Good Morning America and 20/20. He's famous for first trading a red paper clip on Craigslist in 2005. After a series of trades he ended up with a home in Saskatchewan, Canada. 13abc's Lissa Guyton was the emcee.
