Parking ban set for Thursday morning in Toledo

A parking ban is set to begin Thursday at 7 a.m. in the City of Toledo.

A Snow Parking Emergency is being declared by the City of Toledo Public Safety Director to aid in snow removal operations. 

As part of this emergency, a parking ban will be implemented on streets that are on posted Toledo Area Transit Authority (TARTA) bus routes/ Snow Emergency routes. 

Starting at 7 a.m., the ban will be enforced as necessary by citation, towing and impoundment or any combination of these in accordance with Toledo Municipal Code Traffic Section. 

Additionally, there shall be no parking on residential streets, to allow for plowing and access for emergency vehicles. 

Cars left parked on residential streets may be towed to the nearest plowed location without cost to owner, in order for the city to complete plow operations and provide for public safety.
