Two shootings overnight in Toledo

A violent night in Toledo leaves nearly a five people wounded in apparent unrelated shootings.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, police cars were outside the King of Diamonds strip club on Matzinger and Stickney.

Inside of the club, investigators were interviewing potential witnesses after a call for a shooting.

One hour later, shortly after 4 a.m., two people were shot on North Detroit and Norwood.

Detectives say the injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.

Three other people are recovering after they were also shot Friday afternoon while inside of a car.

TPD detective say people with gunshot wounds walked into a local hospital and claimed they were shot near the intersection of Detroit and Fearing.

Two of the victims were treated and released. The third was listed in good condition.

    Nazia H. Awadawas struck and killed this morning near the Franklin Avenue and Delaware Avenue intersection in Toledo. Police say, around 5:00 this morning, Awada stepped out onto Franklin Avenue and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Awada was transported to St. Vincent's ER where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say it doesn't appear that alcohol or speed were factors. The investigation is still on-going.
