Police: Woman fires shot over wrong burger order

Posted: Updated:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Police say a woman fired a shot into a Michigan fast-food restaurant's drive-thru window after workers got her burger order wrong a second time.

The shot was fired around 3 a.m. Monday at a McDonald's in Grand Rapids. No one was hurt, and the suspected shooter is in custody.

According to investigators, two women became angry when workers got their order wrong Sunday evening. The customers were told their next meal would be free.

The women returned to the drive-thru early Monday. The workers again got the meal wrong.

Police say the passenger got out of the car, yelled at the workers, pulled out a gun and fired into the window.

The customers took off, but police tracked them down because they left a phone number following the first order.
