Driver arrested after pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

A man who was injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night has died. It happened around 9 p.m. along Alexis Road near Rambo.

Toledo Police say Donald Galdys was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes when an oncoming car hit him, throwing him into a nearby snow pile.

Police say the driver, Roberty Conboy fled the scene, though he was found a short time later.

Conboy was arraigned Thursday morning on charges of failing to stop after an accident.

His bond was set at $5,000. He is scheduled to be back in court Friday morning.

Firefighters tell us the fire was in a business at 300 Morris. That address is listed as Mandell-Vasquez, Incorporated. No one was hurt.
