Museum kicks off exhibit with masquerade ball

The Toledo Museum of Art kicked off the  Art of the Louvre's Tuileries Garden exhibit in style on Saturday evening.

The Art of the Louvre's Tuileries Garden will present 100 paintings, photographs, drawings and sculptures by some of the most acclaimed European and American artists from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

Around 600 people gathered dressed in period appropriate attire.

13abc's Sashem Brey emceed the event and was also a judge for the costume contest.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator Alia Orra said, "I think the creativity people showed when putting together their costumes was wonderful because it was celebratory and that's what we were looking for."

    Toledo police are investigating a shooting outside a downtown Toledo gentleman's club.  It happened around 1:00 AM at Chez Joey on Monroe Street.  Witnesses say at least one person was shot after a fight.
