4 men accused of shooting heroin in car with infant

Posted: Updated:

In Perkins Township, four men are accused of a shooting heroin in a car alongside a 7-month old child.

The men are facing a slew of charges, including child endangering.

On their Facebook page, Perkins Township Police posted the mugshots of Brian Humberger, 32, of Port Clinton, Michael McDavitt, 25, of Castalia, and Steve Eliyas, 25, of Clyde.

Police say Eliyas is the father of the 7-month old who was in the car with them.

Someone called 911 after watching the group throw beer cans from a vehicle, then stop in the Staples parking lot.

Detectives in an unmarked car then saw them throw a syringe out of the vehicle.

A search then turned up a 100 count box of syringes, as well as used syringes, marijuana, alcohol and heroin.

Investigators say the four men admitted to shooting heroin as the 7-month-old child sat inside the vehicle with them.

That fourth suspect, Alber Oeder, 21, of Vickery, is also facing the same charges as the other three.

Childrens Services from Erie and Sandusky counties are involved in the investigation as well.
