Perkins Twp Police: Beware of women offering wallet for cash

Posted: Updated:

Perkins Township Police are warning people in the Sandusky area about a scam.

A senior citizen says she was in the Kroger parking lot this week, when two women walked up to her with a wallet full of money.

They claimed it was "finder's keepers" and that all the senior citizen had to do was pay taxes on the cash.

She told those women to leave, and they were last seen heading into the Kroger on Perkins Ave.

Police say it was all a scam and if someone makes you a similar offer, contact the local authorities.
