Melting snow is causing flooding at a local trailer park. Residents of the Village Green Mobile Home Park in Perrysburg Township are upset.

They say it's impossible to drive through to homes in the back lots. Fortunately, the waters had not yet damaged any of the homes, but the streets are not draining out and the standing water is trapping some residents in their homes.

Some are worried that ice will form on the flooded streets, trapping their vehicles.

Delores Tressler said, "I'm not gonna risk falling on the ice. I've got bad knees. I can't walk 'em. I've got my car parked up here at the entrance, cause I can't park in front of my house. The water is over my sidewalk."

We were unable to get to the back of the lot where water levels are knee deep.

Matthew Paseff lives in one of those back lots. "The water's coming up to my stairs, you know? Just trying to get to my stairs is just horrible and I gotta go through all the water with my car. It's liked a brand new car and I don't want my car to get all messed up."

Residents think the problem came from piles of snow stacked on the property.

Brandon Schroeder said, "There's no reason for these streets to be this flooded to where you can't walk, can't drive. The only way you can get through here is if you have a truck. Little cars, it'll be any day you start to see people's cars flooded out.  I think they should be trucking this snow outta here or something."

13abc tried to get in touch with the management offices at the park, but there was no response as of yet.

Residents are concerned about being able to reach their mailboxes and their children making it to the bus stop.
