A man is behind bars charged with breaking into Jefferson High School's administration building.

The Monroe County Sheriff says around midnight deputies received a call of a man with an axe at Kenny's market on N. Dixie Highway.

When deputies arrived, the suspect was gone and an alarm went off at Jefferson High School, less than a mile away from the market.
