The falcons lose 57-47 at Akron. BGSU had only five players score, all five starters, led by Richaun Holmes 14 points and nine rebounds. Senior Cameron Black registered his fourth double-double of the year with 10 points and 11 rebounds, as the duo combined for seven blocked shots. Holmes moved to within three of Otis Polk's 159 career blocks with his four blocks tonight, giving him 156 career swats and 83 on the year.
Spencer Parker had 12 points and seven rebounds, while guard Jehvon Clarke had nine points and four steals. Clarke also eclipsed the 200 career assists mark on Saturday night, dishing out two dimes to give him 201 for his career.
BGSU outscored the Zips 12-4 in second chance points, as the Falcons outrebounded Akron 39-35, yet 20 BGSU turnovers led to 22 Akron points in the loss.
The Falcons shot just 28 percent in the first half, but bounced back to shoot 42.3 percent in the second half to finish the game 18-of-51 for 35.3 percent.
BGSU will next be in action at home on Tuesday night, when the Falcons will host the Ohio Bobcats on Senior Night at 7 p.m. in the Stroh Center.
