Murder suspect still on the run

Posted: Updated:

Tyrone Hoskins is still on the run, accused of shooting and killing 24-year-old Michael Williams Jr.

His alleged accomplice Rishad Williams gave himself up to authorities this week. He's expected to be indicted in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother is ready for closure.

"I'd rather for him to turn himself in, because it's been a lot of words on the street about a lot of stuff I don't believe in. I don't want nothing to happen to the young boys because they do have parents like I'm a parent and I just wish he would go ahead and turn himself in," says Felisha Williams.

Detectives have not released a motive for the killing. The victim's mother admits her son wasn't an angel, but she says he was working to change his life.

"One thing about with him he had just promised me that he was going to do right get out the street leave the guns and cars and stuff alone. He just got his GED and the army had just called for him. So he just got a bad luck deal," says Williams.

Ms. Williams says she just received her son's GED in the mail and says he passed with a high score. She grieves for the two daughters he leaves behind

"Too many of our black young men are getting killed for no reason at all," she says. "And they have kids. We all love our kids so all this drama stuff needs to stop."
